This model is excellent! It is just what I needed for a project of mine. It comes with the flaps and slats already deployed. The nose wheel is hiked already angling the model for takeoff. I'm very excited about the possibilities of this kit.

Definitely positive for the product as intended. Lines are slightly deep but will be good under paint. I like the options available in the kit, especially the flap and slat deployment. Can't wait to construct it.

Although I'm pleased with the kit, I haven't started to assemble it yet as there was no glue included which was a bit of a downer, so I had to order some and paint to get started. Unfortunately they haven't all arrived yet so haven't started to enjoy the process.

I wanted to see if this kit was as good as the old Airfix Phantom of the 70s.It is .The downside- no pilots.This seems to be a common fault with new Airfix kits. Very annoying. Otherwise a good kit.

This is one of best Airfix kits. There are decals for three markings and highly-detailed pieces to build the kit in at least three accurate configurations. This is a Phabulous tribute to the Phabulous Phantom.

Excellent kit , everything well explained with clear instructions and three options of decals . I must add that the finish and attention to detal of this Asian manufacture kit is of a much higher standard than the older UK made Airfix kits . Long may this excellence continue , a boon for modelers worldwide .

I have yet to build the kit, this is an in box review. The first thing that strikes me about this is the box is huge for a 1/72 fighter kit, in terms of volume it's around twice the size of the Airfix EE Lightning kit box despite the completed model only being marginally bigger, it is however noticeably sturdier than the smaller Airfix boxes. The parts look all well detailed with sharp panel lies (although possibly a little out of scale). Decals are included for 3 Royal Navy aircraft, with a

As usual. Airfix has done a great job with a new kit. The designers paid attention to the small, but significant, details that existed between the British and American versions of the Phantom. So this is not just a standard American Phantom model with British decals. Even if you have built US Navy or US Air Force Phantoms before, this one has enough differences to add to any collection.

As for the 1 star ratng, I'd recommend a trip to Norway if you are missing some spruce. No doubt it was a Christmas present!

A clever new moulding of the famous RN warbird. Lots of build options, including inflight and stowed, and a number of weapons loads too. Another winner from Airfix.

Awaited by many as a successor to the old Airfix 1965 release, this new tooling should not disappoint too many people. Ok, so it can only be built OOB as a Navy bird, but there are already after-market parts and decals available for those who wish to portray an RAF version. As ever, I cannot comment on specific accuracy issues, suffice to say it looks like a Phantom even in bits in the box, so there is a good chance that it'll look even more like one once built! The box is the now usual
