This is a relaxing album. Yes, it kicks in with White Flag at the very start, which is a great song, and the couple after that, drop the tempo a lot. But it does rise in a few songs, a gentle mix of nice soft music, which you can relax to, her voice is very soothing, and each song is different, in its own way. Some are sad, but still grab you.

Si pour vous "acceptable" est synonyme d'un livret déchiré, ayant pris l'eau - ou pire - le rendant plus rigide que du carton et d'un disque dont l'ancien propriétaire nous aurait gentiment laissé des traces d'un repas à base de sauce tomate (après son passage dans l'eau) alors effectivement, c'est une bonne définition. Personnellement c'est plus dans la catégorie médiocre voir pire que je l'aurais classé... C'est une déception.

SImplemente impresionante, claro esta si te encanta DIDO, como es mi caso. A un precio más que asequible, merece más que la pena. Como todos los cd's viene empaquetado perfectamente para evitar golpes. El plazo de entrega de Amazon como siempre impecable y en la fecha prevista. Hay otras veces que con los CD's imagino que por los proovedores tarda más tiempo, pero solo por el precio merece la pena.

Nessuna eccelsa e nessuna pessima, da prmere play e ascoltare magari facendo un bel bagno caldo e rilassarsi con la delicatissima voce di Dido.

Chi l'avrebbe mai detto che oltre la nota White Flag era degno di nota l'intero album. Sono rimasto stupito dalla sinuosità musicale impressa dalla cantante. Un consiglio: acoltate l'intero album, rimarrete sicuramente sorpresi.

Habe mir das Album schon vor längerer Zeit gekauft und kann es nur empfehlen. Eine sehr schöne Stimme und abwechslungsreiche Lieder.

Ich hatte die CD mal aufgenommen, wollte sie aber nun in CD Qualität. Dido macht schöne ruhige Musik, hat eine angenehme Stimme, die nicht aufdringlich wirkt, als Hintergrundmusik oder für gemütliche Stunden, höre sie aber auch gerne mal auf langen Autofahrten. Titel Nr.2 fällt aus dem Rahmen, hat einen schnellen Beat und supertiefen Bass. Ist mein Faforit, besonders im Auto, da kann das Bild im Rückspiegel schon mal etwas verzerrt aussehen. :))
Die CD kann ich nur empfehlen.

hm, naja... Schlecht sind die Songs an sich nicht - zumindest jeder für sich alleine. Aber in der Gesamtperformance gleichen sich die Lieder alle ein bisschen:Sie alle sind ruhig und melancholisch. Und genau das ist aus meiner Sicht das Manko an dieser CD. Obwohl sie sich nicht gleichen, scheint es doch so, dass nicht viel Abwechslung von Takt und Rhythmus vorhanden ist.Über einen längeren Zeitraum kann ich mir diese CD nicht anhören, da sie aufgrund der fehlenden Abwechslung schnell langweilig

Le premier Dido avait surpris par sa force émotionnelle et son originalité. Cet opus qui lui fait suite n'est qu'une pâle copie plutôt fade et sans âme. On a l'impression d'être dans la continuité mais sans le charme et l'inventivité du précédent "No Angel". Perdu le souffle de la créativité. Life For Rent is an excellent album through and through, in fact I can say honestly it's one of my favorites in my entire collection. The singles "White Flag" and "Sand in My Shoes" typify the tone and character of the other tracks. Unlike some other records, ones in which you listen to your favorite single then leave it on the shelf, this one has what it takes to be a classic.

Jedes Lied an sich ist einzigartig, jedes Lied ist auf seine Art tiefgründig und hat seine eigene "Story". Die Song's auf dieser CD unterscheiden sich hörbar von den bald nervigen Popsongs im Radio - Balsam für die Seele sag ich nur. Didos Stimme ist sanft und doch markant genug, um sie leicht aus dem internationalen Pop-Einerlei heraus zu hören.Auch bei der Instrumentierung wurden nervige Beats und ähnliche Quälereien für meine Ohren dankenswerter Weise weggelassen, so dass ein durchweg entspannt hörbarer Klangteppich gewebt wurde, der sowohl beim Autofahren als auch für ein romantisches Dinner oder einfach nebenbei beim Abwasch usw. geeignet ist.Herausragend sind für

Ich habe dieses Album von Anfang an und höre es jetzt nur noch relativ selten, nun aber wieder öfters.Ich persönlich finde es einfach nur wunderschön. Das Album ist nicht laut, sondern nur besinnlich, ruhig, melacholisch und verträumt - EINFACH NUR WUNDERSCHÖN!Mehr muß man dazu nicht schreiben. Ein wahrer Hörgenuß und ohne Makel und ohne Kanten! Ideal geeignet, bei depressiven Phasen, Liebeskummer, Verliebtheit oder noch besser kuscheln zu zweit.
