I have been on an AIP diet which allows no soy. Coconut alkanes are such a great alternative for soy sauce and add great flavor for veggies. I also sub this for soy sauce when I have sashimi. Definitely helped! Note: Be sure to refrigerate after opening, I accidentally left a bottle out over-night and noticed it had a vinegar taste which is not right and needed to be thrown away.

We purchased these because we moved to another area and it is the only brand available. I have to say that our entire family concurs that it is too sweet and doesn't have that tang you want in a soy sauce or tamari, which is what we are substituting for due to health reasons. I'd go with another brand.

It gives food a nice subtle flavor and can help "grease" the pan so to speak and keep from food sticking. It can be put in all kinds of dishes for a little extra flavor too. I was really worried about finding soy sauce without wheat, egg and sugar etc added into it and had spent several weeks thinking and looking for the right kind of soy sauce. I’m vegetarian and prefer gluten-free food products.
My search led me to this coconut based soy free sauce and I have to say that it has opened up my choices.
I just made Hakka noodles and chow mein with this sauce and my family loved it. So thankful for this! Will keep getting this!

Maybe I don’t understand what this is supposed to be. I wanted something similar to soy sauce, like tamari, but with less sodium. This is very sweet and tastes nothing like soy sauce. Maybe it’s good for what it is, but all I can do with it is use it up in a marinade. And it takes up room in the refrigerator. At least it was well sealed! I hate to give one star; they probably meant well.
