I bought it from Whole Foods and tried a small amount when I got home. I instantly regretted the purchase.

This bottle is indeed a good substitute for soy sauce. Even my 76 land lady, who is set in her ways, likes it. However, it is way overpriced which is why I've taken off two stars.

I can't use soy sauce due to being gluten free. Coconut aminos is a great substitute for that. I use it in a variety of ways including marinading chicken, adding to salad dressing, or putting on burgers. Delicious without all the sodium taste

We've been using Braggs Aminos as a salty-sauce add-on to a meal-bowl that isn't quite right for 25 years. We use a variety of soy-bases sauces as well, including mushroom soys and other infused soy and tamaris. This "coconut amino" is quite different: it's sweeter, but more importantly it's a rounder, smoother mouth feel. It leaves an oily after taste, but it's not bad. Not really comparable to soy sauce, but it works for me as a good substitute. Soy sauce is much saltier and intense than this. It's on the mild and sweet side.

Since being put on a low sodium diet, it’s just hard to get anything to taste decent. A few drops of this & I can honestly satisfy my taste buds again! It’s not without sodium, so watch your budget , but at 270 gr per tbsp, you can flavor food with a clear conscience.

This is a great alternative to all the sodium that is in soy sauce. It’s a little sweet but without all the salt. My daughter who loves soy sauce couldn’t tell the difference between the two. Which is great due to she uses a lot of soy sauce and I need to watch her salt intake

This coconut aminos tastes exactly like soy sauce. YOu would never be able to tell the difference. I use it in everything from marinades to sauces and the best part is, it is so much better for you! With much less sodium and absolutely no soy, gluten, dairy or sugar it’s a must-have pantry item.

This is much more watery than the Bragg brand, it is also less sweet, less salty and not thick. I prefer the Bragg for those reasons and won’t buy this one again.

I have been on an AIP diet which allows no soy. Coconut alkanes are such a great alternative for soy sauce and add great flavor for veggies. I also sub this for soy sauce when I have sashimi. Definitely helped! Note: Be sure to refrigerate after opening, I accidentally left a bottle out over-night and noticed it had a vinegar taste which is not right and needed to be thrown away.

We purchased these because we moved to another area and it is the only brand available. I have to say that our entire family concurs that it is too sweet and doesn't have that tang you want in a soy sauce or tamari, which is what we are substituting for due to health reasons. I'd go with another brand.

if you are trying to cook healthy and cut down on fats while cooking, these aminos are a good choice and healthy for you. It gives food a nice subtle flavor and can help "grease" the pan so to speak and keep from food sticking. It can be put in all kinds of dishes for a little extra flavor too. A great cooking essential in my kitchen, always on hand.

I was really worried about finding soy sauce without wheat, egg and sugar etc added into it and had spent several weeks thinking and looking for the right kind of soy sauce. I’m vegetarian and prefer gluten-free food products.
My search led me to this coconut based soy free sauce and I have to say that it has opened up my choices.
I just made Hakka noodles and chow mein with this sauce and my family loved it. So thankful for this! Will keep getting this!

Maybe I don’t understand what this is supposed to be. I wanted something similar to soy sauce, like tamari, but with less sodium. This is very sweet and tastes nothing like soy sauce. Maybe it’s good for what it is, but all I can do with it is use it up in a marinade. And it takes up room in the refrigerator. At least it was well sealed! I hate to give one star; they probably meant well.
