If you're not aware, this is a prequel to the Wizard of Oz. So keep that in mind before trying to make a comparison to the original. You get cool back stories for the Wizard, the wicked witch and Glinda the good witch.As a modern movie, the style of acting was so-so, but it was a throwback to the olden days and I like all of the actors so I let it slide. まずはオズの魔法使いというとおとぎの国に話＝ファンタジーというイメージが強いですがオズが魔法使いになる前日談スピンオフ作品ということで観ましたが、面白いです。ほんと購入してすでに7回ほど観ましたがまだまだ楽しめます。オズ＝ジェームズ フランコ、エヴァノラ＝レイチェル ワイズ、グリンダ＝ミシェル ウイリアムズ、セオドラ＝ミラ クニスこの三姉妹が凄く綺麗！！特にミシェル ウイリアムズがほんと綺麗！！頭に着けた強さと美しさを象徴したティアラ！！最高に魅せられます。ジェームズ フランコ相変わらずのイケメンぶりがいいなぁ、そしてジョーイ キングが声優を務めるチャイナ ガール（陶器の少女）これがまた可愛！！！！ほんとに可愛い、冒頭にジョーイ キングが足の不自由な女の子としても出演してますが、2013年当時ではまだ12歳くらいのなのかな、インデペンデンスデイ リサージェンスでは車を運転する長女の役、ホワイトハウスダウンではチャニング テイタムの子役でも出演してましたね、そしてザック ブラフの喋る空飛ぶベルボーイ猿のフィンリー、表情がすごく可愛いいあとは何といってもミラ

Oz The Great & Powerful is a lot of fun to watch in 3D as my 12 year old daughter & I really enjoyed this movie ( it’s a PG & not that scary but has a good storyline for children & adults ). The 3D is very good in it & for such a visually enjoyable movie the 3D really does make the whole experience even better to watch it.So if you looking for a cheap 3D movie to enjoy on your 3D blu ray set up ( I have a 3D blu ray player & a 3D projector with rechargeable shutter

This is a great movie if you pay close attention tothe whole movie. It should jerk a few emotions out of you. At least I do think that it was. Worthit for the rental fee.

I really like watching this movie but while watching it changed size when it was in black and white. On 55" went from wide screen to a little small box 27" by 20" just in the black and white part then back to wide screen in the color part. Did not like the small screen beginning.

We rented this for movie night. My kids are 9, 11, 13, and 14. It was a bit slow for the younger ones initially. Similar to the original movie, it begins in B&W and converts to color in Oz.

My only complaint with this film is over a couple of discrepancies between the original film and this one. I won’t point them out because this film still deserves love, and fans of the original Oz will see for themselves. ;) Either way, this truly is a beautiful film and well worth adding to a home collection.

Kind of wish the bluray had come with a slipcover. The movie arrived fast and it was sealed new. As for the movie, I enjoy a Sam Raimi movie as much as the next guy. This is a cool twist to the original movie.

Fabulous 3D. The prequel to “The Wizard of Oz” is beautifully designed and well acted with a clever plot. Enjoyable family entertainment that might be too intense for the little ones.

I Absolutely LOVE this movie call it a guilty pleasure or whatever even though the fool franco as the "wizard" in this film it doesn't take points away due to the BEAUTIFUL CHARACTERS IN IT and I'm not talking about the obvious MAMACITAS LIKE RACHEL WEISS, MILA KUNIS AND MICHELLE WILLIAMS, but the PORCELAIN GIRL AND even the Monkey assistant and others are wonderful in this PREQUEL of sorts to THE MEGA CLASSICAL LEGEND THE WIZARD OF OZ.

This was truly made for 3d viewing, the visual effects were amazing. Made up for a few plot issues. Overall fun movie and worth your time. Not a classic, but family fun

Hab mal wieder nicht aufgepasst. Ist leider nur synchronisiert. Ich hoffe sehr, dass Amazon Prime endlich mal alle Filme in OV mit deutschen Untertiteln anbietet. Durch die Synchronisation verlieren die Filme total viel weil sie oft so lieblos synchronisiert und die Texte falsch übersetzt sind.

Der Anfang ist in schwarz/weiß und ein kleines Bildformat, da denkt man erstmal das kann doch nicht der Film sein. Doch dann in der Welt von Oz geht der Film in Farbe und großes Bildformat weiter. Alles in allem ist der Film aber sehr schön und weiter zu empfehlen. Ein Film für die ganze Familie.

Wer sich den Film ansieht... Nicht erschrecken oder gleich wieder ausschalten. Der ist nur am Anfang in schwarz weiß aber sobald die Reise von Cansas nach OZ gemacht wurde wird es bunt und aufregend. Kann den Film nicht nur Kinder empfehlen. Es geht um viele Erkenntnisse. Von Liebe und Hass, Schwindlerei, Ehrlichkeit, Feigheit bis hin zum Zusammenhalt und Mut beweisen. Die Schauspieler gaben der Neuverfilmung alle Ehre.

Schade, hier ging die eigentliche Story flöten. Es wurde ein Fantasy-Film wie alle andern auch. Da gefällt mir der alte Film doch besser!

| Etwas einfallsloser Versuch eines Prequells | 23.10.2015
Wer kennt nicht den Zauberer von OZ? Der kennt auch schon ziemlich alles aus diesem Film... einziger Lichtblick ist China-Doll (die kleine Porzellanpuppe), sonst doch wenig Überraschendes oder gar Bewegendes. Schade, ich hätte den Film doch so gerne mögen wollen...
