I wanted a short length imperial and metric tape measure for woodworking and bought this item thinking Festool makes high quality woodworking tools. Maybe power tools but not tape measures. Way too floppy and the tape locking mechanism is garbage which means it either folds in half when you are trying to run it out and then it won’t stay in place. Never again

Needed a small and accurate tape that could measure inside enclosed spaces and this one is perfect. The build quality feels a little flimsy for festool, but I have yet to drop it to see how durable it really is. Perfect to slip into a pocket for laying out joinery and cabinet work.

Just about the only festool item most can afford haha. It's a nice tape, useful features. The plastics used seem a bit naff. Definitely not a tool you'd use on site, it wouldn't last the day. But for bench joinery tasks it's a nice item to own.

Leidiges Thema bei allen Maßbändern ist bekanntlich das Arretieren. Nach nicht langer Zeit, führte die billige Bandführung im Inneren zu einer dauerhaften Arretierung des Maßbands. Wer's aufschraubt, hat verloren! Somit landete die Summe der Einzelteile schlussendlich in der Tonne. Bis zu jenem Zeitpunkt misst das Band jedoch schön exakt, Außenmaß und Innenmaß!

ich verliere öffter maßbänder und jetzt probier ich mal das da es sich am bessten im keller vom untergrund abhebt :) Es hat inch und cm einteilung, eine arritierung für das maßband und eine Möglichkeit es als zirkel zu benutzen( durch ein loch im maßband und einen ausklappbaren dorn.

Absolute waste of money. I'm embarrassed to reveal my purchase. Inaccurate and poorly designed with cheap plastic parts. Just because its branded as festool doesn't necessarily mean it's quality and how on earth they can sell this rubbish in their name is beyond my reasoning but they do sell it as merchandise so that may be a clue. I can recommend the Hultafors. In fact most other real tape measures and not this toy. No star rated. PS The tape wouldn't lock so I foolishly decided

Dire. Doesn’t work as a tape measure. The catch is so weak it doesn’t hold the tape if not in the vertical position. Any movement on the tape and it releases instantly making the tool useless. The whole thing feels cheap.

Almost good. The features are clever as you would expect from Festool, but the implementation is way below their normal standard. As others have said, it does feel poorly made considering the price tag. The scale visible through the window is inverted compared to the main scale - obviously cheaper as they can use one artwork to print both sides, but a bit rubbish for the user. The lock, as others have said, is poor, it is weak in any case, but pull the tape a little (like the end snagging

Sehr genaues Maßband, egal ob Innenkanten oder Außemkanten gemessen werden. Hätte nicht erwartet, dass dieses Maßband, das ja bei Festool nur als Fan-Artikel geführt wird, auch die Präzision bietet, die man von Festool gewohnt ist.
