Given how good some of the Chinese/no name products are you would expect Sony to have a competitive product. Not really, first the good, they fit well, and the noise canceling is reasonably good. But the battery life is the worst of a half dozen earbuds I own. Three hours in noise canceling mode, and they have the quirk of sometimes glitching out for a fraction of a second in the middle of playing something. Maybe it's LDAC, who knows, but it's irritating since I don't have this

I've always been a Sony fan (I also have the XM4 without any issue), but sadly this earbuds completely disappointed me. After just over a year of usage, the battery on my right earbud drains drastically compare to the left one. In only 20-30 min, it went completely dead, which mean I can't use both of them at the same time after half a gym session. I did contact Sony about this issue but they wouldn't do anything because it's not under warranty. Overall this earbuds sound great,

These were good headphones for the price while they lasted. ANC worked well, comfortable to wear, sounded good, and the multi-point Bluetooth capability worked great. But after a while, the battery life significantly deteriorated to the point that my left earbud only lasts 15 minutes, while the right lasts 60-90 minutes. I tried replacing the battery, but couldn't get the earbuds apart and ended up breaking them in the attempted repair process. The ended up going in the garbage.

These were nice while they lasted, but just after a year of use the battery in both buds refuses to last more than an hour. The right battery dies in about 20 minutes from 100% now. This is actually a common issue with these, there are multiple reddit threads with many users reporting the same issue of severe battery degradation after a year of use. My galaxy buds+ were miles better than these for many years. Choose a different product.

The only real problem i have with these headphones is that the battery life takes a nose dive after a while. I don't know what the cause of this issue is but it seems to be a fairly common one. The right earbud lasts several hours but the left one only seems to last a half hour even though it is not used as much. Aside from that I do realy like these headphones and wish the battery didn't degrade as fast as they do.

I'm sure a working version of this product is decent, but I received a faulty pair. The left earbud constantly has stuttering issues when my phone is in my pocket. If you decide to buy this product I would recommend to not purchase from Amazon. It's likely that they are sitting on a big inventory of these earbuds all with the same issue.

Buyer beware. The life capacity of this product was just over a year. After a year, the charging life of these ear buds was less than 1 hour. Completely unacceptable for a company who markets their products as being the highest quality. These ear buds are garbage. Note, that this product is a \"frequently returned item\" for a reason.

Pros: Great Sound quality, decenttouch control, decent noise cancelling, tiny caseCons: if you get sweaty, then the seal starts to fail and they get loose; case durability isn't the greatest and they immediately pop out of dropped. The product was really good. I had these for a year and they were great. My only problem is that the battery in the right earbud is not doing good and it lasts around 30 minutes while the other earbud still lasts a good 4 hours. I really enjoyed my time using them, and they're still good. It's just that the battery failed me personally. Might not happen to you.

I loved these earbuds so much. I've had them a year and 4 months and now I can only use them for about an hour. The battery just doesn't hold a charge. Sony won't do anything because I'm outside the year warranty. They sent me to an outside repair shop for me to pay for a new battery. These earbuds will only cause heartbreak. Unless you're ok spending $150 on earbuds that last a little over a year, I'd look elsewhere.

I bought these to replace my xm4s be cause of battery issues. I was hoping these issues were resolved in the linkbud s'. However, I'm only 1 year in and the battery drain is horrendous. 50% drain for 30min of use. Avoid sony in ear buds as they do not last long and have chronic battery life issues.

I have very small ears and very small canals. I went through multiple earbuds like the AirPods, Airpods 2, Airpods Pro, Nothing Buds, etc and they all hurt my ears after about 20 minutes of wear. These are the only buds I have found that don't fatigue or irritate my ears. The noise cancelling is amazing and I've even used these for flights with no issues. Can't recommend these enough!

I debated between the Sony Linkbuds S with Air Pods pro 2 and after much comparison and online reviews I took a chance on the Sony Linkbuds S. The sound quality including mids and base is great. Noise cancelling and ambient options are fantastic as long as you get a good fit in my opinion; I did swap the small factory ear pieces which to be fair are soft, with small memory foam ear pieces as an extra.

Old way for gardening and mowing was wired earbuds. Loving the sound. The perks for me, is the versatility with noise canceling, phone and touch commands. I bought silicon lanyard to fit just in case of loss but the buds fit very comfortably on the ear. I know I said this already, but the sound is wonderful.

These are amazing sounds quality, comfortable and don't fall out, nice design, but they sometimes disconnect and I have to \"Forget device\" and reconnect it for it to work. Bought these for my mom who is a bit less tech savvy so when this happens, she has to wait to have me fix it lol but beyond that, these are awesome. For all I know, she's accidentally disconnecting them so don't let that deter you. They work amazingly otherwise

Noise cancelling is good, sound quality is good, they're super lightweight and comfortable, they charge pretty fast, and overall I only have one real complaint and that's that I can't use the left one independently. I don't really know how I missed that in my research, but I work in an environment that even with active listening or whatever turned on, I still can really only wear one earbud at a time and it's really annoying that I can't go back and forth.

| Horrible battery | 07.02.2025
These stopped holding a charge 1 month after the 1 year warranty expired. This is apparently a common issue. Insane for how expensive they are.

| Battery drain issue | 07.02.2025
I've always been a Sony fan (I also have the XM4 without any issue), but sadly this earbuds completely disappointed me. After just over a year of usage, the battery on my right earbud drains drastically compare to the left one. In only 20-30 min, it went completely dead, which mean I can't use both of them at the same time after half a gym session. I did contact Sony about this issue but they wouldn't do anything because it's not under warranty. Overall this earbuds sound great,

Bluetooth pairing failed. Threw out. Not user error. Other earbuds work perfectly.

| Linkbuds S battery severely degrades after a year | 04.02.2025
These were nice while they lasted, but just after a year of use the battery in both buds refuses to last more than an hour. The right battery dies in about 20 minutes from 100% now. This is actually a common issue with these, there are multiple reddit threads with many users reporting the same issue of severe battery degradation after a year of use. My galaxy buds+ were miles better than these for many years. Choose a different product.

Dieser wurde anschließend im Rahmen eines geförderten Stipendiums weiterentwickelt und ist heute ein eigenständiges Spin-Off.
