Sicher nicht sein bestes Album. Nach "12 Songs"aus dem Jahre 2005 ist das auch schwer möglich. Diamond Fans werden es trotzdem mögen; obwohl es streckenweise recht trivial ist. Das Album ist routiniert produziert und nicht mehr ganz so akustisch ausgelegt wie seine letzten Alben. "Someting blue" und " Nothing but a Heartache" sind sicher hörenswert. Neil Diamonds Stimme ist immer noch da, trotz seiner mittlerweile 75 Jahre. Zusammengefasst:Ganz gut.

inzwischen eine meiner Lieblings CDs. Ich habe viele der älteren Neil CDs bzw. Schallplatten und alle Klassiker (Beautiful Noise, Hot August Night, Serenade,..), und war erst skeptisch, da mir Neil's Stil der späteren Jahre nicht so gut gefiel. Nach dem Melody-Road Konzert, wo ND vieles aus der neuen CD präsentierte, war dann klar: die muss ich unbedingt haben! Die Deluxe Edition kommt mit Text- und Akkordheftchen, so daß man sogar selbst in die Saiten greifen könnte.Für ND Fans ein Muss!

Ewig lange habe ich gar nicht mitbekommen, dass er immer noch aktiv dabei ist.Früher in den 70er habe ich seine Musik geliebt.Seine Stimme ist noch genauso kraftvoll und unverkennbar wie früher. Nach dem Lifekonzert 2015 in Köln habe ich mir diese CD gekauft. Vor dem Auftritt wurden mir nicht bekannte Songs von Neil Diamond vom "Band" abgespielt, die mir sehr gut gefielen aber später im Konzert leider nicht vorgetragen wurden. Ich habe dann herausgefunden, daß es sich um Stücke aus diesem Album von 2014 handelt. Die Stimme des mittlerweile 74jährigen Künstlers Stimme klingt immer noch so vital und prägend wie in den 70iger Jahren. Die Melodien der Melody-Road Songs sind

Die CD ist einwandfrei, dachte, dass wie früher, das eine oder andere besondere dabei wäre. Neil Diamond war schon besser, das Album bringt nur durchschnittliche Lieder, kein herausragendes dabei. Also leicht enttäuschend.
