Very strong rope. So far no fraying. A little bit thinner than a dime in diameter for anyone wondering. Does have a distinct smell though lol.

Great price. The metal ends are just silly. I cut mine off and resized the rope into different length hanks then sewed the ends with regular thread.

A little thicker than I would like to have for shibari, but good to start with for beginners trying to find what works for them. Fun to play with.

I bought this rope to use in 18th-century living history reenactments as most rope of the period came from hemp. It looks like it will work quite well for that purpose and it is reasonably priced. I did cut the metal ends off and put on proper seizings to prevent fraying. By the way, mine did not pull off easily as at least one reviewer complained. My only complaint is that the strands are rather loosely twisted but that's what makes it softer for bondage use. It does make splicing a bit

I got this rope for a photo shoot that I didn't want to ruin my good rope for. It's not really great rope, but it will work. It's quite raw still, and very thick. I would not trust this rope in a suspension without thorough inspection and testing, and even then, certainly not a single point suspension.If you really like rope, go out to the people who have been doing it for years- they're not on amazon though

So I will admit that I have been spoiled by a local artists high quality handmade rope. At nearly a 1/3 the cost of OmegaJute's rope I was compelled to try this one. The rope is surprising soft for not being treated and the metal tips did get removed prior to any actual use. It has a few flaws, first this is definitely a cheap machine made rope cut to size. The strands of the rope have messy and sloppy splices, one of which was so bad I felt the need to whip the junction so as to protect

The rope we received was off very poor quality. Lost of breaks and frays throughout. We've had it for close to a month now and used it many times. It leaves fuzz everywhere and just looks messy. We took it to a shibari class and once we saw what good rope looks like knew we would never tie again. The instructor pointed out that you might make it a decent rope if someone were to condition it and burn it and wax it. Far more effort than the rope is really worth though. We've replaced this

Some of the reviews said this stuff falls apart. Mine is pretty sturdy. You have to take care of your rope. Doesn't matter how much you paid for it you have to take care of it or it will fall apart on you. If you are prepared to wash, whip, singe, oil and maybe even boil your rope then don't buy it.

I think the annoying metal tips keep the price down as a cheap way to stop unraveling. Good tape makes a nice color coded end.

Washed this rope twice in a laundry bag and hot water and I can't get the strong petroleum smell to go away. I was going to treat it myself by burning off the fuzzy ends and using beeswax but I can't get past the smell. It's no usable to me like this.

got yesterday and it has that sent to it. (not a bad thing ). Softer then I thought it would be and not a lot of little wisps.. A pleasant surprise, less I got to do to it.

Just used this rope yesterday and it performed nicely. Knots held securely and were easy to get untied. Did not leave any long lasting bite marks

I actually bought this to use as a craft project, since I wanted a jute look but couldn't find very many thick options (which is what I needed for the project). I easily cut the metal tips off, and hot glued the rope around the perimeter of a plexi-glass sign. Very happy with the outcome!I will say, however, that my husband was quite curious when he saw that I bought bondage rope!

Good quality hemp rope. I like that it's thicker than most other ropes designed for personal use. It was clean out of the bag and had already been washed and stripped of the seeds and much of the fuzz. Conditioning it with water, fire and wax was very easy and quick. The metal clasps on the end to hold the ends together area easily removable so one can whip the ends. I would buy these again.

Requires significant conditioning to get it to "Shibari" standards, and even then I wouldn't trust it for suspension work. When it arrives, it's rough, fuzzy as all get-out, and the fibers are brittle. What's more, it smells like motor oil and the metal end-caps are only good for decoration.

I would recommend it especially if you are just getting started in bondage and want to try hemp rope for the first time. Nice length for basic ties and harnesses, though I would not trust this rope for suspension. I bought it to travel with since I wouldn't mind losing it and to see if a $10 rope would be worth buying. More serious enthusiasts will be happier with many of the quality specialists vendors. I did whip the tips after removing the weird little metal caps and would recommend

The rope is untreated so it is not soft like the typical hemp used for shibari and other types of bondage. Due to this it also has an unpleasant smell that will only go away if I treat the rope myself which is a long process.

Okay, so this rope is indeed hemp rope, but it is not the "perfect" rope as described by other reviews. Sure, its pretty and the end whipping being metal looks fancy, but the rope smells funny. Almost like they used some kind of tanning oil on it before shipping.I had to work the rope a lot through an anchor (eyehook in a bit of wood) before it was soft enough for me to even use because it was so rough it hurt my hands. I washed it twice and the rope still smells funny after working it

Awful rope. Cheap price, cheap product. I thought I would save some money based on the price, but now I realize I should have paid the price for the good stuff form a local retailer (Stockroom in Los Angeles). I should have returned it, because I never use it. I might as well have flushed my money down the drain.

I bought this rope by accident. I'd been looking at rope on Amazon on my tablet as I fell asleep and woke up to see that I'd ordered it! I use only 6 mm hemp, so this one sat in my closet for almost 2 months until tonight. After a quick suspension, I re-tied with the 8 mm and it was a lot more comfortable. It's quite fuzzy, as other people have mentioned, but nothing to complain about. Great quality for the price.EDIT: The metal tips can be dangerous (and painful!) if you pull rope

I soaked it, washed anand oiled this rope and it sheds like crazy!! Very strong... but leaves rope lint on everything!!

Its great, I really didn't expect it to be as nice as it is. My friend was very surprised as well and said she will buy some very soon.It smells amazing, holds great, and looks awesome on some one. The marks it gives are also very nice as well.I looked at over 20 different bondage rope websites all for about $1 per length and this rope seems like it would be the same.The best part is that its only $10 for 32 ft!
