I mainly shoot glamor/fashion, so I don't need a long lens. However, it's nice every once in a while. On a FX camera this becomes a 75-375mm. It maybe inexpensive, but it takes sharp images.

This is just a must have for any Nikon setup. The 35mm perspective is just perfect and the clinical sharpness is uncanny. This stays attached to my Z8 and only gets swapped out when I need some reach, otherwise I attempt to make it work in as many situations as possible. Shooting mainly people pics and street photography here.

I purchased this from this seller and found that when I went to register it with Nikon NPS, they informed me that it was a gray market lens with no warranty. Please do not buy from this seller. Amazon has been informed of the issue and is looking into it. I say this is false advertising on the seller's part.

I added this to my Zfc and 16-50mm, and I now have the ideal travel kit. This lens is so lightweight. Yes, it has a plastic mount, but I'm not a professional user, so absolutely no issue here. Put simply, this lens boasts a performance that its price-point does not deserve. I am very happy with it. Given my other camera is a D850 with quality lenses, this travel set-up has not been a disappointment. Very highly recommended.

I use my 20mm prime lens a lot. Five weeks in England and I rarely changed lenses. I worked for 3 decades using a tiny Nikkor 20mm f3.5. I really like that lens and its faults.But this lens blows away several other Nikkor S lenses. Sharp in the corners wide open. A beautiful color rendition and sealed for the outdoors I can’t recommend this lens enough if you want a wide-wide. 🌹

This lens absolutely owns the sky. Of course it excels at every other wide angle task, but the sky, the stars, the moon, the auroras... And it's SO sharp, even wide open and all the way to the edges. This lens captures not only what you can see with your eyes wide open all the way across the sky, but it captures more than what you can see: You will capture stars and constellations that you didn't even know were there. La uso en mi Z7II y es no solo la todo terreno, sino también parte retratos e interiores. This is so far my most used lens. I have the 14-24mm f/2.8 S, Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S, and Z 70-200mm f/2.8I use the 24-70 most of the time because it's sooo versatile and fits in nicely for most of my shoots.I highly....HIGHLY recommend.

This can replace just about everything you need for basic portrait work. I would still recommend a good 1.8 or faster prime for more artistic shots but this thing is amazing and the macro is a huge plus as well. I honestly can not see a reason for the 70-200/24-70 2.8 over this when you can have this lens plus a couple of great 1.8 primes for less money. You'll have backups and better background control for less money when paired with one one prime lens like the 85mm 1.8.

The product listing for this lens is misleading. It states that it is a USA model but it did not come with the warranty card for a USA model. No warranty card at all. If there's an issue Nikon will reject this lens without the warranty card as gray market.

In in fewer than 5000 shots the lens no longer worked—it's a few months out of warranty and Nikon says I have to send the lens in for repair to the tune of about $375 (plus shipping it to them). I am not happy about that. The camera nor lens are treated well and have never been dropped, so I'm quite disappointed—the first time I've ever had a problem with a Nikon lens. I would not buy this lens again nor recommend it to a friend.

I expect the lens was and is an excellent lens - but writing on the box and the folding of the interior wrappings strongly suggested I had received a pre-owned item. I returned it without use.For those who have never seen the item I would note that it is large and hefty so if size or weight is a concern, read the specs and make up that size and weight in your hand before ordering.
