Cons: the bit holder is made out of plastic. I don't think is going to last long

Does a good job. No problems in use so far. My only concern is the possible long term robustness of the extending shaft and its locking mechanism which could be improved - a round shaft in a round hole relying on the locking mechanism to stop it slipping may not be the best idea.

So, I misread this tool. I thought it was the extendable adjustable tool holder. This one is plastic and has just the close setting. It makes it difficult to use on parts with varied angles and radii. It works fine, it just isn't as versatile as the metal one.Update: the plastic design broke. The metal one is better.

Revised review. The Shaviv deburring tool is good quality and value. My previous review below was meant for another deburring tool also purchased and should be ignored for the Shaviv tool.Good value and overall quality, but the end cap for storage of extra bits has course threads and would not tighten securely. The cap would get snug and then keep turning, as though the threads are stripped. Rather than return for another I wrapped a half turn of black electrical tap around the threads of the

This was purchased so that I do not have to keep changing out blades when deburring various materials. No more misplaced blades!

I use this in my machine shop almost every day, cleans up burrs from tapping holes very nicely. just need to break the edge on that drilled hole? this will do it. I haven't had any massively uneven chamfers either.

The bits didn’t last me long as hoped but I abused the heck outta mine and overall saved my wrist when cleaning up oddly shaped parts which makes it well worth the $Plus thee handle storage is wonderfully convenient

This is the deburring tool used in machine shops. Others cost more but don't have the metal shaft so they are too flimsy. The plastic on this one doesn't absorb stuff like the mango

Ich habe einen alten Shaviv Handentgrater, für den ich neue Klingen gesucht habe. 10 einzelne Klingen haben das gleiche gekostet, wie dieses Set. Sicherlich ist der enthaltene Halter nicht ganz so toll, wie der höher preisige den ich schon hatte. Als kostenlose Zugabe wirklich gut.

This is the deburring tool used in machine shops. Others cost more but don't have the metal shaft so they are too flimsy. Also good for pvc pipe.

The price is almost 1/2 of the extension models, standard that is. Unfortunately the standard bit holders do not work. This is a non replaceable close quarters bit holding handle. The blades are in the end of the handle and the holder is non removable. May be too close for many situations and suggest if purchasing only one. Go ahead and spend extra to get one that has a variable length.

Tips broke fist time using them, easily changed but I shouldn’t have to buy replacements right out of the box

It's ok. The handle is nice and big to fit your hand. The blades are decent. But handle and blade holder all plastic. Have had some that do ok with plastic handle and metal blade holder. Not 100% happy with all plastic for the cost of this item. Will update later to see if it will hold up.
