Vom Geschmack und der Nase ist er typisch aber etwas verhalten im Vergleich zu anderen (Navy Island, Coruba) aber dennoch ein sehr guter Rum. Die 57% kommen durchaus rüber ohne aber sprittig zu wirken. Ich benutze ihn für Tiki-Cocktails und da ist er sehr gut wenn es etwas mehr an Alc benötigt.

I am a massive fan of a good rum fashioned and this rum definitely stands out in this regard. It has enough backbone because of the above average ABV and a great flavour profile. By this I mean that you can mix it with certain syrups / bitters and it will still taste amazing. Great value for money if you're looking for a strong rum for rum fashioned and mai tai.

(On behalf of my partner). I don't often buy rum, Islay whiskies are my tipple of choice, but over the years i've bought a fair few bottles of this. It's not (god forbid) spiced, it's not full of added sugar and it's not even been chill filtered! I usually drink it neat as i don't find it in any way rough or overpowering but it does stand up nicely to a drop of coke or ginger beer. Maybe not for everyone but i love it and in the last 15 or so years hasn't changed one

Aber natürlich reden wir hier von einem intensiven jamaica overproof rum mit 57%, das wird nicht jeder pur mögen. Bei Leuten die sich dann beschweren, er würde zu sehr nach Alkohol schmecken frage ich mich 1. warum kaufst du dann so eine Flasche und 2. stimmt im Verhältnis zu dem Alkoholgehalt gesehn doch gar nicht? It works beautifully but, as another reviewer said, it sneaks up on you - you've been warned. Right from opening the bottle you will notice what people mean when they say this stuff has funk in it. I always wondered what that means, but its fits perfectly. Notes from drak chocolate, nuts, cinnamon and alspice and booze. Its a strong rum and it certainly tastes like one.I mostly use it in drinks (f.e. mai tai). i would always mix this stuff with other rums, mostly smoother stuff so it does not make your drinks to strong because 1) you will taste this stuff in your drinks (wich is good)

Para el precio que tiene este ron, no merece la pena. Ultimamente estoy probando rones mas "premium" y por 28 euros tienes rones bastante mejores. Yo lo pille en una oferta por 18 euros, y ni aun asi.... no lo recomiendo

Ich hab den Smith & Cross als Geschenk für einen Freund gekauft. Ein ganzes Weilchen stand er bei mir im Regal und ich war gespannt auf die gemeinsame Verkostung, da wir beide Rumliebhaber sind und ich deshalb aufgrund der positiven Rezensionen hier einiges erwartete.Die Enttäuschung war leider riesig. Der Inhalt schmeckte widerlich sprittig und hat diesen Beigeschmack den man nur von der billigsten erhältlichen Rum-Plörre kennt. Einfach grauenhaft.Schon einiges an guten Rum und Whisky

Research in the field of "Social Media Analytics & Big Data" at the Chair of Information and Communication Management (IKM) provided a first prototype that enabled the collection of reputation data. With further development and funding Trustami became an independent spin-off.
